I am a small time webmaster with few small websites in my bucket, from my experience google Panda update actually reduced result quality. A website which is I think is a good website in its topic and is followed by other website as example lost 50% of its traffic and now all website those are simply there for search engine ranking but not for quality content are ranking higher.
Even my general search results in day to day life are not yielding appropriate results as it used to be. Over all I am not happy with Panda or Farmer update.
