The SEO is not a single word. It has wide range of terms like contents, website designs and logo designs etc. It is necessary for SEO expert to keep in mind to optimize the site according to the search engines. It is not easy, it is a typical job and whole SEO based on it. Nothing ignored anything during analysis of a website or on page SEO

And not to forget, many times people end up their sites being panelized as they do OVER optimization which is most of the time seen as spam / black hat by search engines.

I agree with you, and I think it is necessary for an SEO expert that he/she must be remember in his mind that the to avoid those things which are like spamming or cause to block the domain.
