what is gallery , aside and standard post in wordpress

Hi

I have just started using wordpress and when I create new post there are three options for posts types :
One is Standard
second is aside
third is gallery

I tried to make post with all those options one by one but all looks same. What is the exact meaning or feature of this function, can anyone explain me ?
