Description
This is an interesting modification for SMF 2 , it can indirectly increase number of new registrations

on forum simply making it look busy through increasing numbers of Guests, Hidden Members

as well Fake Registered Members (can be added from admin) as per your wish on forum home page.

Installation
Simply install it via package manager.


Installation on Custom Template
Works on all template , no custom template installation required.


Administration
After install you can access it through Admin Panel where you can specify your own picture / logo, App

ID, Admin ID...

• For SMF 2.0, 2.0.1 , 2.0.2 :
  Goto --> Admin --> Configuration --> Modification --> Fake Users and Guests Online

Dunno,,,, but I created the profiles for the users and when you click on the fake users online it tells you that the profiles d o not exist ....

Hey bob, its not meant to show profile of current users, but  its a nice idea to show actual profile in member list. I will try to include this in next update. However, for now you can't link fake members to real profiles.

hi! I added this to my forum at www.megansmadams.com/forum and now i'm getting this error but only in my Admin, not on the public forum:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '&', expecting T_VARIABLE or '$' in /home/content/m/e/g/megansma/html/forum/Sources/Subs-fguo.php on line 52

Now i realize I should probably know what that line means but I don't so can anyone help?

Jeri, can you access admin then uninstall the mod and reinstall it.

If you can't access admin ie. package manger then download mod and extract it and then replace Source/Subs-fguo.php with one found in the mod package.

It is because i think file is not properly uploaded or something, I just tested fresh copy of afguo and its working as expected.

Try as I might, I'm still getting the same error. I haven't been able to backup my forum or doing anything admin related. Any other ideas?

Still its unclear why you are facing this error, I again downloaded and tested package, its just fine.

Where can i find 1.2 version? at  http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=3330 here is only 1.0 version and it does not work, because once it is installed, it's showing version 1.0

That is again one of your fascinating modifications. But as clicking one of those members, a dialog box appears and says "The user whose profile you are trying to view does not exist"; secondly, it doesn't even shows those fake members, guests into the Who's Online page. Is there any way to figure out the solution of both things? After that this modification will be even more valuable.

I think I need to fix it but version showing 1.2 is latest (but out of small error it is showing version 1.0 after installation , but shall be fixed soon)

Yep, I understand in fact I am not free either. I use to be active like hell but due my personal busyness and things I am not that active now. But I am working on it. I am wondering traffic.
