How to install Yii

I have downloaded YII frame for my use but i am unable to install on my computer.  can some one tell me the
step to install it so that i can work further....

You have not mentioned where you want to install. Do you want to install on windows or on linux, if it is on windows then you should go to PHP installation direct and from there execute your yiic.bat script as :

php.exe yiic.bat webapp /install/location

                   i am trying to install YII on window and try all the possible combination as You suggest me to run .bat this is also give me an error so please tell me the way how can i install it . thanks

You should goto installation directory of php.exe first and then execute above command. It should work.

Thank You  Rikky You provide me good way to do that Now i did this in my way like you suggested and it works

D:\> cd wamp\bin\php\php5.3.5\php.exe D:\wamp\www\yii\yiic webapp path\demo.
