You can download it free from from Adobe site and try on your PC. Size is around 2 GB.

Is it good to use photoshop  for basic things or I should use GIMP but 2GB is big size.. :(

The new photoshop cs6 beta works absolutely fantastically. I love the new crop tool which is just amazing! And also this version of Photoshop supports my graphic card(which cs5 wasnt supporting) which makes my experience awesome...

Is the demo good? I hope it is, not sure if I'll be upgrading but the better it is, the more likely.

From what I heard demo is good. Many believe GIMP can do all that Photoshop can, not sure how true.

With gimp around why even look towards Photoshop ?
If you are really into the photoshop interface gimpshop should be right for you. You can download it from here :
