FreshLooks - MultiColor

By : Ricky.

A minimal theme with various colors variants including Default Green, Blue Pinch, Black Touch, Orange it and Vibrant Red.  You can change colors from Admin panel or allow user to select their own color from their profile.  This is a light theme using minimal images but still giving you  nice colorful layout.

Hi Ricky,

I just installed your Fresh Looks Theme on my forum http://www.fishchumpro.com/forum/index.php.

I like your theme very much. I was wondering if it is possible for me to change the colors of the theme. My website colors are in shades of brown and it is hard to find a theme with darker browns.

I use #766b5d for the background color, so I would like to make the Board Titles that color.

I would also like the body of the board messages to be white not the light pastel color.

Is there a way to change these colors?

Thank you for liking my theme, I saw your theme, its completely broken there.
Regarding your shade, I can make a version of dark bround as you asked but can do that only when I am free with my current projects.
However, you can modify colors yourself, just try to edit index.css

That is not a big issue, I will test it on test installation with simple portal and will upload fixed version.

Hi Ricky,

I installed the theme yesterday (using the red variant) and my members and I LOVE it. It's so bright and fresh, exactly perfect for my forum.

However, some of my older members are asking if I can change the forum font colours in two areas, to make them easier to see.

The font used in the "show unread posts since last visit" and "show new replies to your posts" at the top of the page is showing as green, on a red background, and we would like to change it to white.

Also, the font colour in posts and messages is currently set as a grey. I would like to change it to black as the default colour.

Can you point me to the lines of code that I need to change? thankyou.

Also, I would like to add a header with our forum name, but I'm not sure how large to make the image. Could you give me height and width sizes, please, and tell me how to add the image?

Thanks.

Regarding changes, I will upload improved version soon.

However, for image, simply find default logo and replace it with something you like. Its under images/theme folder.

Hi Ricky

As stated by PM - I have installed the FreshLooks theme... fantastic by the way... This is online at www.talkaquatics.com

however there is ONE issue - which is the width of the reply to post box. This is wider than the actual forum and the text does not wrap... could you kindly take a look at this for me and advise me which line of code to change to sort this out.

thanks

Tony

PS: I did manage to find where to change the colour of the reply text as some of my users suffer from poor eyesight... :D

Search box uses a graphic to create that rounded corner effect which merge into upper green border. I am not sure it will be easy but yes can be done. I need to install theme , make modification and then suggest you here. I would have loved to help you but currently I am very much occupied. However, to give you head start, all you need to do is to find following code (it is code responsible for userarea) and copy it to desired location, you will need to make some css modifications also :

Code: [Select]
<div class="user">';

// If the user is logged in, display stuff like their name, new messages, etc.
if ($context['user']['is_logged'])
{
if (!empty($context['user']['avatar']))
echo '
<p class="avatar">', $context['user']['avatar']['image'], '</p>';
echo '
<ul class="reset">
<li class="greeting">', $txt['hello_member_ndt'], ' <span>', $context['user']['name'], '</span></li>
<li><a href="', $scripturl, '?action=unread">', $txt['unread_since_visit'], '</a></li>
<li><a href="', $scripturl, '?action=unreadreplies">', $txt['show_unread_replies'], '</a></li>';

// Is the forum in maintenance mode?
if ($context['in_maintenance'] && $context['user']['is_admin'])
echo '
<li class="notice">', $txt['maintain_mode_on'], '</li>';

// Are there any members waiting for approval?
if (!empty($context['unapproved_members']))
echo '
<li>', $context['unapproved_members'] == 1 ? $txt['approve_thereis'] : $txt['approve_thereare'], ' <a href="', $scripturl, '?action=admin;area=viewmembers;sa=browse;type=approve">', $context['unapproved_members'] == 1 ? $txt['approve_member'] : $context['unapproved_members'] . ' ' . $txt['approve_members'], '</a> ', $txt['approve_members_waiting'], '</li>';

if (!empty($context['open_mod_reports']) && $context['show_open_reports'])
echo '
<li><a href="', $scripturl, '?action=moderate;area=reports">', sprintf($txt['mod_reports_waiting'], $context['open_mod_reports']), '</a></li>';

echo '
<li>', $context['current_time'], '</li>
</ul>';
}
// Otherwise they're a guest - this time ask them to either register or login - lazy bums...
elseif (!empty($context['show_login_bar']))
{
echo '
<script type="text/javascript" src="', $settings['default_theme_url'], '/scripts/sha1.js"></script>
<form id="guest_form" action="', $scripturl, '?action=login2" method="post" accept-charset="', $context['character_set'], '" ', empty($context['disable_login_hashing']) ? ' onsubmit="hashLoginPassword(this, \'' . $context['session_id'] . '\');"' : '', '>
<div class="info">', sprintf($txt['welcome_guest'], $txt['guest_title']), '</div>
<input type="text" name="user" size="10" class="input_text" />
<input type="password" name="passwrd" size="10" class="input_password" />
<select name="cookielength">
<option value="60">', $txt['one_hour'], '</option>
<option value="1440">', $txt['one_day'], '</option>
<option value="10080">', $txt['one_week'], '</option>
<option value="43200">', $txt['one_month'], '</option>
<option value="-1" selected="selected">', $txt['forever'], '</option>
</select>
<input type="submit" value="', $txt['login'], '" class="button_submit" /><br />
<div class="info">', $txt['quick_login_dec'], '</div>';

if (!empty($modSettings['enableOpenID']))
echo '
<br /><input type="text" name="openid_identifier" id="openid_url" size="25" class="input_text openid_login" />';

echo '
<input type="hidden" name="hash_passwrd" value="" />
</form>';
}

echo '
</div>';

I hope that helps.  I am assuming you have basic knowledge of php and css etc. to make this edit yourself.
